Summary Comments : [America's Got Talent] Adrian Romoff: 9-Year-Old Piano Player Wows Judges - America's Got Talent 2014 (Highlight)

Ro*******:

The thing is you can see he's actually a good pianist from the second piece he played, but he's trying too hard to impress. He should 1. Play on a real piano, the keyboard is preventing the audiance from hearing his mistakes (there were missing A LOT of notes in the Flight of the bumblebee). 2. Not play so fast, let us hear the melody, the emotion. 3. Play easier pieces so he can properly practice the tempo and make it even.

Roasting him and saying it's bad won't help him improve, it's just really mean, honestly.

Playtime Comments : [America's Got Talent] Adrian Romoff: 9-Year-Old Piano Player Wows Judges - America's Got Talent 2014 (Highlight)

co*****************:

1:26 the judge asked him in whatever grade was he in,

In case you didn't know, the judges never really asked that question to other children, but when this kid is special, they asked.

Which makes this whole thing scripted.

Po*********:
0:44 “we need more emotion.”

IMMEDIATELY PLAYS FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLEBEES

Ro***:

1:55
Why does that line remind me so much of sheldon cooper...

Mr*****:

1:31 "I skipped 5 grades" Asian guy in audience doesn't care cuz he skipped like 7

Li**********:
0:38 “We don't need another machine"- Oh really? But... even though... ur playing... sounds like robot?

AU*:

2:46 he dropped his glasses on keyboard makes piano noise then without touching keyboard switches too a synth sound

Ja*****:
Trust me mate, there's a better Asian

Ra*************:

People in the comments be saying that he’s skipping notes but he be skipping whole beats

Qu********:

The electric keyboard electrocutes him when he touches the keys lol

Li*******:

The second song was incredible, he has really good technique but when you hear his speech at the beginning you thing he’s going to be playing something like clair de lune.
3 seconds later....

ROCK FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLEBEE!

Se*******:
When ur kid is supposed to be Asian, but he's just a white boy. Edit: I posted this 2 years ago, but yall can’t take a joke at all. I’m saying that most Asians are REALLY smart. Any person can be REALLY smart. I’m not being ignorant or racist- gosh

mi**:
Wow this kid is a genius he can have a seizure and play the piano at the same time!

Lo******:

Flight of the bumblebee sounds awful when hes playing it

Ma**************:
His rendition of bumblebee wasn’t great but his second song really showed his talent.

Hu**********:
He’s using the keyboard to cover up his atrocious playing. The audience and judges know nothing about piano.

Edit: I’ve seen his recent playing and he’s actually quite good, but he’s absolutely butchering the piano here

no************:

"you cant be a doctor at age 5"

Asian kids: cant relate

A:
When you're a musician and came here from Twoset, you see all the comments like- "this kid's a genius"...
sigh

KP*:

That is a flight of bumblebee performance that's sacrilegious enough to match ben lee's. No actually it's even worse...

mo********:
"We don't need more machines, we need more emotions"

*proceeds to play bumblebee on an electric keyboard*

so**********:

“We need more emotion”

-plays keyboard
-it’s on electric guitar mode
-it’s flight of the bumblebee
-skips notes and slacks off
—bangs his head to it
-stands up as he pushes away the bench

1. who is his teacher
2. Bad posture (he’s moving around a lot)

VE******:
He looks like a male karen

CJ***:

Adrian: I'll put that down to fewer words
Also Adrian: Talks about what he does and what he wants to do for a whole minute.

Jo*****************:

When the judges are non musician

Time to flex the bee

Ja********:
I would prefer elma than him, that's a bit too saCriLigiOus

Ma*******:

He missed so many, so many notes in the beginning he skipped like half an octave

ma********:

Sorry to hate but this is absolutely awful, you can tell the judges do not have a clue when it comes to classical music, the timing is off, the presentation is off, an infinite amount of keys were wrong or skipped. He used the ridiculous setting on the keyboard to try and hide the face that he just can't play - not in general, I am sure he can play well for his age but he just cannot play this piece. To even say this performance is half decent is absolutely ludicrous.
I guess if you know what Flight of the Bumblebee sounds like then I guess this sounds relatively similar but as far as I am concerned this is a child who is intelligent, however, he has been completely disillusioned by his parents into believing he can play this piece. Heck I have been playing piano for 10 years and the hardest I can play is Hungarian Rhapsody No2, Liszt, sorry, but this is the truth, he needs to learn and play one piece.
I am sure if he focuses and works hard he will succeed and by all means re-audition, I don't want him to lose his dream, I want him to see the reality. The parents are partly to blame for this boys disillusion, what he needs is a good piano teacher, I can tell from this that he doesn't have lessons and has probably never even attempted a slightly easier piece.
Good luck for the future kid.

Listening to the second piece, he played that much better than Flight of the Bumblebee, obviously the second piece is far less technically demanding and really a rather simple song. For his age he should start with the basics and work his way up... you can't build up by starting on the top floor.

li**********:

he definitely has an evil plan to take over the world

Ca*******:

“We need emotion, I spread my feelings with the audience”

proceeds to play flight of the bumblebee

Wow so Impressive, haven’t seen that before.

Fr*************:
Who's here from TwoSet??

Th**:
Eh, he can play fast but he has no tempo

Di**********:

The kids face when he was playing made me die

Ja**************:

Heidi “you’re that smart?!?!”

9 year old kid “ according to reality... yes”

Ma**************:

This must be the most awkward thing I've ever witnessed, I'm so sorry.

Jo*******:

why do my replies not make sense?
