finally, an lgbt+ movie that isn't over-sexualised or romanticly focused. the friendship between them looks so cute

he**********:

The best aspect of this movie has to be the characters. They're so damn likeable and well written, that they feel like people you've met in real life.

Gr********:

I’m all for the lesbians, but I’m so so glad that they decided to highlight the importance of platonic girl and boy relationships. It’s such an overlooked thing in movies.

Je*******:
"Love is messy and horrible and selfish
....... and bold"
- Ellie Chu

Am*******:

This movie is a extremely well written and performed. Its filled with fun, emotions, complications. I love how movie shows a rainbow of internal emotions by cleverly using metaphors. Definitely one of the most deep meaning(s) kind of script presented with elegance and simplicity..

Sa***********:

I remember back when netflix had announced this movie, everyone on facebook was so hateful like this would just be a rip off of To All the Boys

I have to say this movie REALLY surprised me. It had depth but was also light and heartwarming. It's now one of my favorite movies and probably the best Netflix movie I've seen.

Ur*************:

This was a great story about the love of self and friendship. Truly not all love is about romance.

La********:
I really loved this movie.

sa*:

Ch*****************:
WRONG IDEA: WATCH THE TRAILER RIGHT BEFORE WATCHING THE MOVIE

so******:

This is what Sierra Burgess thought it was doing

Aa***********:

"Not every love story is a romance." FINALLY SOMEONE IS FOCUSING ON NON ROMANTIC LOVE PLOTS

Ti***********:
Everyone thought this was gonna be like that awful Sierra Burgess movie except with lesbians but this looks fantastic. A movie for young people focusing on the importance of friendship and how platonic love is just as important as romantic love? A movie giving the main character role to an Asian lesbian? Practically unheard of, especially for Netflix. I'm definitely looking forward to this.

AV******************:

I really loved Paul and Ellie’s friendship (w/) .

Also we really need a sequel, “The Other Half Of It” cause we were left hanging with “see you in a couple of years.”

Si**********:

I love how she’s asian without the whole movie acting like that’s all she is and i love how she’s gay without it being all she is

Fa*********:

the strumbrellas - i’ll wait, it means aster will wait for ellie

Th*********:
Me: Just another movie about an asian girl falling for a white boy
Me, after: welll welll welll

Mr************:
"Wait .... So am I the good painting" ~Trig. Poor him, he had no idea what they were talking about .He looked so confused at the time of their monologues....

Ja********:
My definition for "good film" is simple, I can stand to watch it more than once. Before this, the only teen movie that I watch multiple times is "A Walk to Remember (2002)". I've lost count on how many times I've been watching it since 2009 (I was pretty late to found it). It's fine, you can judge me. In fact, my ex used to ridicule me every time I brought it up or made a reference about it in our conversations. What I'm trying to say is that this one definitely will be on my list. Three times already!

[Netflix] We gathered comments about popular videos and looked at them in summary, including play time, and order of popularity.

It's a good video or channel, but if you're sad because it's too long, please leave a YouTube channel or video link and I'll post it on this blog.
