The golden age of Hollywood is HIGHLY inaccurate especially because Marilyn was known to be small framed and pretty thin herself, even her wardrobe stylist confirmed it. Plus you hear about weight being INCLUDED in actresses contracts such as not being over 105 or 109 lbs, and them being weighed by their managers to make sure they never broke contracts.

Edit: I’m talking about leg and armpit hair... I’m to young to worry about your sexually related standards down there. You people have never been bullied by boys about hair in the arm pits and legs as teens (because media portrays women as hairless creatures and being the opposite makes you disgusting) and it shows. I wish I had your privilege of that, but if I had, I wouldn’t shame the people who have experienced that and for wanting change in the society’s standards with women’s bodies.
