This was Gaga's first song, it literally was a cultural reset back in 2008, that kind of songs were never heard before and brought in a wave of successful artists.
Gaga was and is still legendary, she shaped modern pop through eternal bops like that one, her impact on pop music is just immeasurable, just that sound at the beginning (the same as in Pokerface) defines her and the way she changed the music industry

Let's not forget when she had a boyfriend who told her she wouldn't be successful, her so-called friends bullied her, they thrown her in trash can, they ripped her clothes off, they sexual harassed her, she dropped out university to chase her dream, she got kicked out from home (her parents told her do not come back home until she gets signed with a record label), she lived in the cheapest apartment she could get, went to go-go dancing at locar bars, sang there with a local band, got signed but then got kicked out by Jay-Z label, got raped by a music producer, suffering with PTSD, people made fun of her big dream, people didn't believe in her, she lost her will to live, no money, no career, no fame...

And now she's top 3 the most awarded artist of all time below Madonna and Michael Jackson

Edit: I commented this here because Just Dance was her first debut single off her first debut album 'The Fame', she wrote this song within 10 minutes when she was depressed, well this song changed the pop music short after it released, went to conquer top 1 on every global chart, she became phenomenal, in fact the dancing video game called 'Just Dance' was named after this song, truthfully 2008 was the year every artist was scared to face her power, she changed the perspective of music industry with her debut album within a year and the music game in 2008 until today has been historical because of her, she is "a star is born"

(Fun fact: After she got dropped out from Def Jam (Jay-Z record label) she went back to sing at local bars and she partnered with her ex-boyfriend named Rob Fusari to compose demos which he sent them to Streamline Records, later the executive producer of the label named Vincent Herbert brought her into the label, she also started to participate in internship of songwriting and made a connection with Sony which then she was hired to write songs for Britney Spears, New Kids On The Block, Fergie and The Pussycat Dolls. She actually credited Vincent Herbert as the man who paved the way into the music industry but actually Akon was the one who paved the way (Akon made a cameo in this music video; the one in white suit), since Streamline Records also established a new joint company called Interscope Records which later Akon convinced the chairman to sign her as the new artist because Akon saw her vocal potential, short of story; she got signed and then the rest is history)
