He’s so talented as a singer/songwriter and dancer. His band, arrangements and performances are always killing and the singers are always on point too. Previously he came under fire but I don’t know how anybody could doubt his authenticity as an artist.
He’s Puerto Rican and their history and culture is deeply intertwined with the African and Caribbean culture from way back like 1500’s or something isn’t it?…There’s never been a reason to say its cultural appropriation really. He always keeps the Hooligans and band upfront unlike some who’d just showcased themselves. I just respect that he is a true musician and very talented and clearly loves great music.
