Knowing her actual personality and just who she is as a person, listening to her music is really weird. She's super chill and she seems like that one edgy artsy kid you'd find in a hippy-liberal art college in Washington, but her music tells people that she's basically a humanized version of Britney Spears's breakdown but like, permanent.

I love every record Lady Gaga has brought to life . But this album (Artpop) touched me! Identified me! Helped me! And was there for me! I was always angry at my self and so did (do what u want/and/swine) Help me dance that " angriness" away . I've been lonely most of my life and never had a real friend and so did (Dope/and/Gypsy) accompanied me through the loneliness . Whenever I felt I need to listen to a sad song . I catch a glance of Artpop's CD and I directly listen to it without having to think. I dance to "Applause" like an weirdo trying to follow Lady Gaga's moves pretending am one of her dancers . I listen to "Fashion" and "Donatella" trynna have some inspiration for my new fashion illustrations .. also when I have swing mood Cuz I'm a bipolar. Artpop played a major rule on keeping my low mood as high as possible cuz after "Dope" I'd find my self rocking to VENUS (btw this my fav song of all time) and singing as loud as I could and yes gaga when u say Venus I make Vs UP haha!

from Aura to Applause = Artpop freed my mind. It freed my mind from all the catastrophe that I could've done to my body to my self and end what is today a 21 yo soul , a long time ago . I love u to the moon and back . Cuz u saved my life ! And ARTPOP will always have it's glory Cuz we the little monsters ,know for sure how much Hard work u've put to this and how much love pain and power u put in it to help ur loving little monsters forever

ARTPOP is Gaga's most personal album. So much of her vulnerability, her recklessness, her rage and her yearning is in this album. While I love the triumphant beat, Applause is quite a tragic song if you listen to the lyrics. It is dedicated to the jester, whose existence is solely to entertain their audience, which back in Medieval days was kings and queens. Back then, if the jester did not make the royal happy with his performance he was killed. Symbolically, I think she means that us fans, us Monsters, we are her kings and queens. We are the ones who determine her fate - not the critics in the media. She lives for OUR applause and she will die without it. She knows how opinionated, demanding, and yes even hurtful us Monsters can be. But she will tear herself apart if it means making us put our hands up for her. It makes me sad to think about how much of her heart and soul she put into making this album, and how it was completely sabotaged by her own management team. Gaga wanted the first track (Aura) to be the first single, but instead her management chose the last track, I mean who the fuck does that? This is a song meant to be enjoyed at the end of a psychedelic trip. It just sounds weird on the radio (I only ever heard it once) in between stupid radio banter or commercials. So, I adore this song, it has Gaga's guts all over it, but it was never meant to be a single. Maybe for this reason, I feel so emotional hearing this song.

I just found out that my very good friend died 2 weeks ago. He loved this song and we would dance together to this song and just have so much fun! It would be just him and I in my living room. We would scoot all the furniture against the wall so we could have room to dance. Then we would make a "gay" play list. He was gay, and the word gay was synonymous with fabulous for us! We had a blast. He was only 31! His dad couldn't get through the password on his iphone so none of his friends were contacted in time for the funeral. I feel so sad and empty inside. I am going to make a list of my contacts and put it in with my advanced directive. I also make sure my mom and best friend know my passwords to all of my accounts. We met in college and had planned to go through school together and become doctors. We were scheduled to walk graduation next semester to get our Associates degree's in psychology and were transferring to university to get our bachelors. Now I will be on my own. I will be asking my school if they can still call his name and if I can walk in his honor. He worked so hard in school and taught me to be the student I am today. I had no idea how to really study and do well in academics. Now I get straight A's. I owe that to him. I also owe my chosen career path of MD to him as well. I am going to keep doing well in school and at the end of all of this when I am a doctor, I will dedicate all of my hard work to him. I will toss my cap with a thank you Eric note in it. I will accept my white coat with pride and mention him in my speech. I miss him so much and wonder how I will get through these next years of school without him. We don't know how he died yet either. He was watching a movie late at night on the couch and in the morning his dad found him laying on the couch still and tried to wake him up only to realize he had already passed. I am still in shock. I thought he and I would be friends when we were in our golden years. I can't believe how many things he won't get to experience! I am just so heartbroken. I am so hurt and just want to talk to him and ask him what to do. What does he want me to do. How can I go on? What should I do with myself. I just feel so all alone, lost, empty, and hollow inside. I love you Eric. Thank you for all the great memories!
