My boyfriend and I were together for 7 years, going on 8. When this album came out I heard this song and I immediately turned to him and said, "Can this be the song we do our first dance to when we get married?" And he said of course. We ended up breaking up before we got our first dance, but he's the love of my life and I will never wish him anything but happiness despite it not working out between us. I still love him so deeply, and hearing this song is like a stab in my heart, but also a sweet reminder of what love can make you feel.

I am 43, my dog is my best friend and he is literally all I have. I dont have children, I never married, I dont have a gf or even anyone I can talk to. I work from home and my dog is never more than 5 feet from me 90% of the time for 9 years. He is very sick and will pass away soon and to say I am overwhelmed is an understatement. I went to see this movie by myself tonight and I've been listening to the soundtrack all night and it's the only thing that has made me feel better for weeks.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words. I have read every comment and when I say I appreciate those of you who didnt have to reach out to me but did, I mean it. Its been 5 days since I wrote this message and I am heartbroken to say that on Oct 9th Ernie passed away. What I appreciate the most from all of you is the empathy you've shown. Many people discount the passing of a pet and they will tell you what should and shouldn't hurt. It's not that I had Ernie for almost 10 years, it's that it has only been he and I for the last 10 years. I found Ernie at a rescue in 2009 and I needed a companion after my fiance and I broke up. Ernie filled that void and he was my only consistent source of joy. No matter what was happening he brought me joy and in return I never raised my voice to him and I never neglected him for even a second because I knew he would be gone one day. My engagement ended more than 10 years ago and this is the first time since 2009 I have felt completely alone and I am in so much pain without him.

2nd Update:
I love animals because I don't think much of people. I have to tell you all that I am genuinely shocked at the comments. I hit these really low points and when I do I check this simple little post I put on YouTube and I read all of your comments and they actually help. Not only are they helping me with what I'm going through, they are helping with how I feel about people in general. When something is wrong with me I don't tell anyone about it because I know it's a burden to others and they dont know what to say. I just cant believe how helpful you all have been and I will continue to read every word. I'm going to list a link to my Facebook acct if anyone wants to see a picture of Ernie. If you see an older Lab his name is BeeJay. I found BeeJay on an exit ramp in 2014 when he was 11. He was really sick and neglected and I took him in, nursed him back to health and gave him the best life I possibly could. BeeJay passed away last year and my mom passed a couple of months before that so losing Ernie after so many other things has just left me in a state of sadness that I've never felt before.
