I seem to have started a world war in replies so here's the explanation:

Assuming it's a regular game, no mind games, no telling what imma pick no telling what the other's gonna pick, no gimmicks. In this game, your oponent's pick is an independent variable, it can't be changed, you can't control it. Now your pick is the controlled or dependent variable, your fate is decided by you yourself. What are the chances of picking the right pick? 1/3, losing? 1/3, tying? 1/3. If you flip the whole scenario into your oponent's point of view, it's the same thing.
