My parents respected my choices and never forced me into any hobbies.

Now I am a grown ass adult with zero hobbies and nothing to in free time except the internet.

I remember when I quit soccer. After my third year of soccer, I realized, "Wait a second. I don't enjoy this. I'm just chatting with another player while the action is on the other side of the field." I asked my parents if I could not do soccer the next year, and they said they still wanted me to have a hobby. So, I quit soccer, and we got a bag of bird seed so that I could take up bird watching. I didn't do much bird watching after the bird seed ran out. I also did cross country running when I was in elementary school, but unlike soccer, I was choosing to do a sport that I hated. I realize now that my logic for going into cross country running was, "this is a sport that I am capable of doing so that means I should do it." There was a big city wide race every year, and every year I got in somewhere around last place. I really wish I had quit before grade 8, because that was the year I had to do the race with all the top 25 people of each race. I didn't do any better that year, it was just that my race only had 16 girls in it, and I got in sixteenth place. That is how I've gotten all my sport achievements. There was that situation and my third place ribbon, from the 400m race that only had 3 people in it. I did have actual hobbies and I was in school clubs, they just had absolutely nothing to do with athletics.
