What an amazing voice and what a heart felt touching song ...I never knew how amazing Gaga's voice is, as im not really into Pop but she has an incredible soulful voice ...she in my opinion has the best Rock/Blues voice Ive heard. Moving, powerful and emotive. She truly is a great Artist.

This version is a lot better than the original because it really brings out the meaning behind this song. It sounds so pure and beautiful

I just heard this song and it reminds me so much of me and my only child, Jenna. She died at 35 years old from Liver and then Kidney failure. We had hope up until the last moments that she could hold on for a Liver transplant but it became obviously pretty suddenly that she was going to Heaven. Her last words were, "Mom I love you." and then she blew me a kiss and I responded that I love her too and wish to God I could trade places with her and I kissed her cheek. Within a few minutes after that her body was shutting down and I told her she could go and that Jake, her 10 year old son, would be okay. Right after I finished talking she took her last breath. My younger brother, John, died just over a year before from Throat Cancer so after Jenna passed I got my first two tatoos, and I am in my 50's. One of them is a heart with an arrow through it that she drew when she was young and the other one was a Red Lotus Flower just like she had. We used to call each other every time we saw a Cardinal and so I added a Cardinal flying out of the Lotus Flower which followed a Blue Jay for my brother John. I am surrounded by Cardinals know along with my younger sister, Kerry, and my mother, Mary. It helps us feel connected to her and we will never stop loving her!!!!

Last December, I lost my aunt (my mother's cousin) she is my best friend and she is the greatest supporter I've ever seen. Nowadays, I think about her so much. She was 33 and I was 18 when she passed away. We have the same blood. She is very young. She had heart attack and passed away in front of her children. May Allah gave her a mansion in heaven. R. I. I miss my best friend who died at age of 17, only four days before her 18th Birthday. She was bringing so much peace and light into my life with her endless optimism. She was born without a leg but she would never complain about it. She would even make fun of it from time to time. She was a real fighter. True hero. Angel sent from heaven to teach me lessons. She didn’t grow up in a rich family so they couldn’t afford to pay her a professional hairdresser to make her hair a little bit nicer. So I thought - I’m going to give her a haircut at this hairdresser’s that my mom was visiting. It was a surprise. She always asked me: So what is this surprise going to be? And I was like: You’ll see but you’re going to love it. She didn’t long enough to get there. I mean, it’s silly but I never really got over the fact she died right before the surprise. I miss her so much and whenever this song is playing, I think of her. What’s beautiful about this song is that it doesn’t make me feel so sad or cry, it’s bringing peace to me because I know she’s somewhere else now. I love this song and I love my dear friend forever.

My daughter doesn't speak to me any longer and it's been 4 years. I sent her this song because I miss her so much and want her to know I will always love her. Joanne has no idea how many lives she has touched in losing her own. I live with Lupus as well. All of those that suffered before us has paved an easier road for us. Lady Gaga is emotionally intelligent. It can be a blessing or a cruse. I am surrounded by people that keep their feelings close to the vest. I wonder if some of them feel at all. I wish I could give them a little of my own feelings at times.

I don't understand why people say that she needs to have actually met Joanne to write about her..Her aunt's death was a tragedy that affected her whole family. Joanne died young and she didn't die a "natural death" she died of Lupus (a disease that runs in Gaga's family). Joanne was her father's only sibling..so Gaga would have witnessed the aftermath of this loss while she was growing up. Plus Gaga is inevitably linked to Joanne..her name is Stefani Joanne..Joanne's name was Joanne Stefani..Duh she'd have some kind of connection with her aunt even though she died. Plus please remember she wrote this song for her grandmother and father, so it's written in their perspective. They're the ones speaking in "Girl where do you think you're going?"

Iv e been a "METAL HEAD MOSH PIT MONSTER" since 2nd grade..my dad gave me a BLACK SABBATH tape been headbanging since.91-92 was my freshman yr so ive lived thru greatest music ever..70s music from my parents..found METALLICA at age 10 but since i watched A STAR IS BORN i feel ive had a musical awakening.I CAN NOT GET ENOUGH NOW..I woke singing DANCE IN THE DARK this morning..LOL...I would give EVERYTHING that I am to look in her eyes and just say THANK YOU.. Ive never felt a connection like this to music since i first heard GLYCERINE by BUSH but this is a whole new rollercoaster of emotions...Thank you MOTHER MONSTER from bottom of my heart :)
