I'm going to ignore all the internet magicians who don't have the guts to go on to stage and do this themselves; guess all their energy was used up to boast behind their keyboards how "easy" this is.  Instead, I want to focus on how fantastic this was.  NO long sleeves, no long coat, no huge props that hide things.  This. Was. Incredible.

I've been a magician for about ten years now and here's a little pro tip to starting magicians: You can entertain an audience of a thousand with a $10 magic kit. When I teach my "students", I tell them it's 20% the trick and 80% charm/presentation. If you're presentation is good, even the lamest of tricks can be miracles.

He starts out with his hat facing forwards in the very beginning but then its like backwards.

A lot of people are missing the reason why he is getting so much acclaim.  He admitted from the very beginning his props are simple and cheap - "bar magic" as he calls it.  However, his presentation and overall performance is very entertaining. He catches you off guard and moves from one trick to another without hesitation or any fault at all.  He is, as his name states, very smooth.

I LOVE that very simple magic can get huge reactions. This goes to show that magic is not well understood by the world. We're simply not all balloon animal twisting clowns with rabbits and stop light tricks. Real magic is...amazing.

it makes me sad that i started studying magic when i was young, because first time i saw this i was like "damn hes good wtf! hows he doing that?" then i watched the vid a couple more times and i could see through how he gets through the tricks. like with the cards when he started coughing up cards you can see before that when he was cutting the cards he was very quick to put some of it in his left hand without anyone noticing. and with the 2 red balls in mel b's hand, he picked up 1 ball but they were foam so he picked up 1 ball but put 2 in mel b's hand, it just wasnt noticeable because he was quick and the balls shrink when squeezed. I couldnt figure out the salt trick though, that was pretty cool but the pen i believe was a prop pen that he set up there in the beginning, a pen that goes into itself, sort of like the bending metal spoon trick. hes a pretty good magician tho, just kinda sloppy if you watch the vid carefully. since the marks of a great magician is not getting caught even under camera.

I don't understand why people wanna ruin it for everyone. Of course it is fake, it's 'magic' but it takes talent to be able to fool and divert peoples attention. I've seen many magicians on AGT, but I can honestly say he is the best one. He is extremely fluid and has the best stage presence of the ones I've seen. All the other ones are too grandiose with just one mediocre trick being built up. This guy took one minute and made it feel like 10 cause of the consistent amount of tricks and surprises over and over again ..all while talking and telling a story.

I don’t mean to spoil the magic, so if you don’t want to know how he does it, keep scrolling. I covered two of the tricks here:
The trick where He coughs up the cards, it is very simple. He cuts the deck very quickly and holds half of the deck in his hand by his side, when the time comes, he fans the cards by his mouth to produce the illusion of coughing up cards.
For the salt appearing out of no where, he has a fake thumb, and he pours the salt into the thumb, to make it look like it vanished out of thin air.
Same with the Snapple drink.
