Sierra was likeable at the beginning but as the plot of the movie traveled through I disliked her, tbh Sierra literally played the victim and what she did to Veronica was literally not cool!! Tbh Dan would be my favorite character in my movie, because he's the one who actually tried to stop Sierra from doing this! Sierra's whole mindset, attitude , and character traits just changed in a horrible way when she started liking Jamie! The ending literally made me cringe cause I wanted Veronica and Jamie to date cause I feel that Veronica actually started having feelings for Jamie but was scared to tell Sierra cause she knew how much she liked him. Overall this movie sucked... the character who was supposed to be good actually turned out horrible, while the character who was supposed to be mean and a bully turned out as the good character, this is not Netflix's best work tbh

Sierra is such a loser, I thought the movie was going to prove that true and inside beauty is what really matters, but Sierra did such ugly and mean acts: she lied, catfished a guy, tricked him to kiss her thinking she is someone else, and cyber-bullied Vironac'.I agree with what Vironica said: "your looks are the least ugly thing about you". I would say that the true winner character is Vironica. she started as a shallow and weak girl but she improved and revealed that she is beautiful person inside out, she and Jamey should have ended up together! they are both sweet and kind!
I find it insulting that movies put characters like Sierra as the leads!!!

This is like "Pretty in Pink" if it had ended with her getting Duckie. Except Duckie, while being a stalker, was actually a very supportive friend and didn't pretend to be something he wasn't.

FDucking hell! An 80s teenage movie is by far superior to a 2018 one!

The way the movie has finished was so wrong and unreal... He definetely liked Veronica and HER appearance since the beggining.
About that scene that he said he wouldn't pay attencion to her if things didn't have started that way because she is not the type of many people but she is his type. So forced.
And it makes me think that he was forced to start something with Sierra... '-'

I just watched the film and came here to see if there are people who share the same disgust on Sierra's character. I'm glad most people do. In the first few minutes, I liked the character but as the movie progressed, I realized she is even a worse person than Veronica. She is a loser not because of her physical appearance. She is a loser because she is a liar and a psychopath.

Sierra’s character and the unbelievable ending were disappointing. Bad story arc and poor lead character development. This movie totally missed the point - it’s not about your weight/looks - it’s about inner beauty and Sierra was a lying, insecure coward and fraudster who couldn’t even own up to her mistakes. She started off positive and self-assured...until she fell for a boy (through deceptive means) and her desperation brought out her ugly side. She never apologised or repented..just played the victim card - made excuses and justified her actions. Definitely a loser in my book so the title was accurate, albeit not in their intended context.

On the other hand, I cheered for Veronica. She showed character growth and became lovely inside and out - even after Sierra’s unwarranted and very public attack against her. She was the real winner.
