Ay*********:

I'd love to buy a used car from a guy like this

ke*******:
I've watched other youtube mechanic channels that say to never use one of these refill kits. With newer cars if the amount of refrigerant is off by one ounce too high you can damage the system.

Fe********:
I don't know if you have a video already, but if not, can you show us how to fix a smelly AC system?

JW*:

Whenever I watch your videos my little brother comes and watches

Al*****:
The wrong way of recharging the AC system...

Ye************:
I always send people to come and watch ChrisFix

AL*********:

I have a question: some people says that product can let the moisture go inside the cooling system and cause damage and it you can’t know exactly what is the amount you putting in so you may over fill or Under fill your car . You said in other video if you want to fill ac you need weighing scale.

TR***********:
That BMW is 15 years old? Wow where can I get one in that condition? Someone has really taken care of that vehicle very well. Nice work!

Tr**************:

Yeah, NEVER trust those pressure gauges on those AC cans. They're totally garbage.

Vi********:
Mr. Chris;

Thanks for all the videos, you are a great example on how to properly make videos showing folks out there like myself how to re-fill AC system. Again, thanks

Respectfully; Andy

ta*******:

you'd think someone making a video on how to clean headlights would clean their headlights outside of that video

Re**********:
Can of DIY refrigerant with gauge = $20.00. Mechanic recharge price = $130.00. This tutorial video = Priceless.

Rf**:
you guys in US have it good, can't find them here in AUS

Bi********:
When was the last time you replaced your blinker fluid on that bmw

Su******:

Never buy a used car from someone with good knowledge about cars. They mostly know when the life span of the car is at its ends. Yes you can repair any damage in your car, but there is a certain point when it financially makes no sense to switch parts.

Je********:
I just called AC PRO because I was curious as to what was inside of the hose before you connect it. He said that it is vacuum purged before being packaged...there is nothing in the hose, and it is under vacuum (negative pressure). When you connect it, it draws freon from the system into the hose.

sa************:
Can you address the dangers of doing this yourself. After reading the reviews on the product, I see there are allot of people who blew their compressors due to a faulty gauge on the product, and some who had their compressors destroyed by getting clogged with sealant.

Su***:
I have saved a lot of time and money watching your videos. Thanks for saving us. Will you consider making a video on how to convert an R12 ac system to R134a?

Ka****:
Quick fix but could lead to problems. You can easily contaminate the a/c system this way. Having air in that line could cause a problem. Proper way to recharge is vacuum the system out with the proper manifold system. these are for temporary fix!

Sl********:
shame the ac recharge kits are banned over here :(

My********:
I love AC PROS. As a mechanic I've made lots of money from people trying this and screwing it up.

Pe********:

OMG I WAS LOOKING UP E46 AC RECHARGE AND ITS CHRIS FIX THANK GOD

Ma********:

I'm an A/C mechanic and wow this is the easiest and best way for sure! Well I'm still training but that doesn't change the subject!

Sa******:

You’re the mvp brother!

Je**********:
excellent vid thanks bought this 97 volvo for next to nothing because of the A/C not working and now it is.

Co*********:

As far as i know, if you run out of refrigerant it's always because you have a leak somewhere, this gas is not spent anywhere in the system, i've seen 30 year AC's working like the first day with no recharges. This is something a lot of people doesnt know, and every summer they go to the shop to get a refill, and they dont tell him he has a leak, so next summer they can refill it again LOL.

Ta*********:

As a woman being told my whole life to let men do it or take it to the shop because I'll just mess it up these videos are empowering and save me a ton of money!!! Thanks Chris!!!!!

Mo*******************:

Should I set the A/C on recycle air or fresh outside flow when recharging with refrigerant ? Thank you

to*********:

Thanks Chris, you're turning a $200 job in to a $2000 job. Sincerely your local actual automotive technician

2nd video I've seen of this guy & would say he does a great job at explaining things

El********:
Instructions unclear engine is in the trunk now

Am*****:

Thank you soo much! I have been driving around in a hot car all summer because I thought there was a much bigger issue with my ac. Gahhh silly me

T*:

911?
Yes?
There's a guy in front of my house talking to his car

Mi******:

I live in Victoria and it never gets hot, so if my AC stops working, I just roll down the windows. By the way, why am I watching this?

RE*************:

Thanks for the video. Went to a place to get my Nissan Frontier 2001 a/c check because it was not blowing cold. The guy said i needed a compressor and a hose. He charged the system for a little bit and a hint of cold come out. I asked him how much to replace the compressor and a new line. He said $700. I told him if i bring the parts how much? 400. I said thank you and how much i owe you right now. He said $20. I gave it to him and saw one of your videos and bought the kit with the hoses and the a/c pump. recharged my a/c on my truck with minimal effort and now it works fine. Did not have to replace the compressor or the line. I had a gut feeling that the a/c guy was lying. Thank you very much. God Bless.

Te****:
Remember one thing there is no shortcuts to AC repair. I see so many cars come in to the shop because of owners trying to do it there self and they overfilled the system. Without the proper low and high side gauges you cannot tell how much Freon is in the system. Before doing anything open up your hood and start your car turn your air conditioner on and check to make sure your radiator fan is working. Some cars have two fans between the radiator and engine. If one of the fans is not working that could be the cause of your AC not cooling at idle. DO NOT OVERFILL THE SYSTEM !!

Mi***************:
Just a heads-up, if you buy this AC Pro from Walmart, it comes with a cheaper gauge on it, which does NOT have the temperature adjustment range on it (i.e. the little dial that you can turn). Got one from Amazon that DOES have the better gauge. Both purchased in 2019. The Walmart one seemed to work fine - I just took a screen shot when Chris showed the gauge on-screen for reference. It was hot out, and I went relatively conservative, stopping at 50 psi for my 2012 Subaru Forester. A/C is now cold again!
