I'm Izaiah Williams, a 14 year old boy who lives on the east coast. I've always dreamt of being a professional singer. Then when I started watching Shawn on vine (when he was a bit popular, I'm not going to lie and say I followed him 4 years ago when he first started, because I didn't. He was already uploading covers when I found him on YouTube) I was inspired. I've always wanted to live his life. I have potential, I have a voice and skills. I have most requirements to "blow up" like Shawn. Thing is, not everyone gets noticed like this. I'm just a kid. Nothing more, than a kid. No better than anyone else. This doesn't mean I will give up, because I won't. If you ever hear the name "Izaiah Williams" go famous, it might be me, but those chances are slim. I can try as hard as I want, that doesn't mean I will become famous. I may just go through life how I am now, being normal and living life. Never fulfilling my dream. I refuse to give up even though the odds are not in my favor. And now I would like to share something very very special and personal to the world. Keep in mind, I made this in 2013 (I was 10-11)

Izaiah, personal note from self, this is going to be a very long process. But if you stay confident and continue, you will go far. I believe in you. Do not care about what anyone says. Stay positive and do what you love to do. Never give up and always keep trying. You and I both know you can do it. Keep this in mind. This is all you have to remember. Read this when you feel low. Read this when you are about to give up. Always move forward. Be patient. Never be ashamed of what you truly want to do in life. Go out there and be a name to remember.

Now I know what you may be thinking, "this kid blah blah blah" but I think I could be something. With the effort I could. I sometimes cry because I worry about my future and how I may never do what I want most in life. I love you all and I love Shawn Mendes. I'm not saying I'm sexually attracted to him, because I'm a straight male, but I love his journey, his songs, and his story. It's so inspirational. And then I think about every other kid just like me who wants all of this, just like me. Who can sing and play guitar, JUST LIKE ME. Point is, no one is like Shawn, thousands of kids are LIKE ME. I can only dream for now. But if, if that very very slim chance comes through and I make it, please never forget me and I won't forget you. I love you all.
