A Beleza Machuca

O concurso afastará a dor
Desta vez vou ganhar a coroa
Sem desmoronar

A beleza machuca
A beleza machuca

Cabelo loiro, seios pequenos
A TV diz que maior é melhor
Praia do sul, sem açúcar
A Vogue diz que magro é melhor

Apenas mais uma etapa
O concurso afastará a dor
Desta vez vou ganhar a coroa
Sem desmoronar

A beleza machuca
A beleza machuca

Você retirou a máscara
A ilusão foi embora
Você está feliz consigo mesmo?
Você está feliz consigo mesmo?

Sim, estou

Who is listening to this song in 2020

ho*******:
walking around my house trying to not cry listening to this. trying to make myself feel as if i'm enough. scrolling through all these lovely comments wishing & praying so so so very hard to feel the way y'all are saying. i'll learn to love myself one day. fully. i'll be able to fully & wholeheartedly appreciate the art God created. ( me ).

am***********:
im very insecure about my body my teeth my face and also my hair. I try to impress people and try to look as pretty and act as nice as possible. But its hard because i starve myself i put things infront of my teeth to make it look like my teeth are together because i have a gap i try to make my hair as pretty as possible because it becomes a mess EASILY i try to put make up on my face to make me look prettier but this video helps me alot. This video gives me courage and tells me im beautiful just the way i am. And i don't need to change anything... <3

Ja************:

Girls really need to stop making fun of each other and judging one another with regards to their looks. Looks aren’t everything. Let’s all love each other.

Ro******:
The saddest part is when he asks her about her aspiration in life and she answers to be happy, even when she looks absolutely flawless she doesn't feel complete or happy, when you think of it a lot of us grew up not knowing what we want or why were we born in the first place, with no role models, no one to support us or accept our imperfections and make us feel loved, believing in our potentials instead of limiting us and putting us into boxes of what society expects us to be, no one there to perpetuate the concept of dreams or talent or different is ok, different is good, but everyone wanting you to lool a certain way, get a degree at a certain age, find a job, have kids but not later, cuz the clock is ticking, for us women, our every move is followed by criticism, sometimes on things we can't control, it's frustrating and unfair but we are the source of life, beauty, kindness and giving, remember you are loved and appreciated in all forms, sizes, races and genders no matter how you decided to live your life

Di*******:

This song reminds me of kylie Jenner and how people on the internet bullied her sooo much for having like no lips ( I wasn’t one of them, never thought there was anything wrong with how her lips looked) so she got lip fillers and then when she got lip fillers they shamed her for it & still do talk bad ab her for getting it perfect example of how society judges you so much when you don’t naturally have the perfect body enough lip or fat ass or big boobs so you feel like you have to be that to be accepted as “bad” and then when you finally get surgery they always bring it up Nd say “shes not natural she got surgery” I wonder why or they talk ab you being plastic. The whole time I bet all the people who talked about her lips being so thin never realized they were being a thing called featurist

Pa**********:
Lyrics:
Mama said: You're a pretty girl
What's in your head, it doesn't matter
Brush your hair, fix your teeth
What you wear is all that matters
Just another stage
Pageant the pain away
This time I'm gonna take the crown
Without falling down, down, down
Pretty hurts
We shine the light on whatever's worst
Perfection is a disease of a nation
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Pretty hurts
We shine the light on whatever's worst
You're tryna fix something
But you can't fix what you can't see
It's the soul that needs a surgery
Blonder hair, flat chest
TV says bigger is better
South beach, sugar free
Vogue says thinner is better
Just another stage
Pageant the pain away
This time I'm gonna take the crown
Without falling down, down, down
Pretty hurts
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
We shine the light on whatever's worst
Perfection is a disease of a nation
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Pretty hurts
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
We shine the light on whatever's worst
You're tryna fix something
But you can't fix what you can't see
It's the soul that needs a surgery
Ain’t got no doctor or pill that can take the pain away
The pain's inside and nobody frees you from your body
It's my soul, it's my soul that needs surgery
It's my soul that needs surgery
Plastic smiles and denial can only take you so far
Then you break when the fake façade leaves you in the dark
You left with shattered mirrors and the shards of a beautiful past
Pretty hurts
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
We shine the light on whatever's worst
Perfection is a disease of a nation
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Pretty hurts
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
We shine the light on whatever's worst
You're tryna fix something
But you can't fix what you can't see
It's the soul that needs a surgery
When you're alone all by yourself
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
And you're lying in your bed
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Reflection stares right into you
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Are you happy with yourself?
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
You stripped away the masquerade
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
The illusion has been shed
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Are you happy with yourself?
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Are you happy with yourself?
(Pretty hurts, pretty hurts)
Yeah, yes
Aah, ah
