Jan 2019, came back to this video cus I didn’t understand it when it first came out but what I get out of this is him growing as a person and leaving the dark vibes and fucked up past, in the past obviously. “Remember me, the one who died here, it’s time to live”. It’s time to live is him realizing how much life means and how blessed he is, cus his music style changed after this. Astroworld sounds nothing like birds, not so dark and twisted

that crazy bro. if he didn’t bump into that dude, nothing would’ve been spilled and no arguments would’ve started. if that altercation wouldn’t have started between travis and that guy, his girl wouldn’t have got mad at him. if she didn’t get mad, she wouldn’t have gotten out of the car, and there wouldn’t have been room for travis’ friend to get in the car. if his friend didn’t get in the car, he probably wouldn’t have went to the hot dog stand. if he didn’t go to the hot dog stand, he wouldn’t have went down the street he got into crash on. on the other hand, if he would’ve just stayed and put sauce on his hot dog, he wouldn’t have met that car at the intersection.

In the video the license plate on the car says "ALI 828". in the book "The History of Al Tabari" in verse 828 it reads, "The son of evil reached maturity and created a DIVISION between us and you. Ali then said how bad the evil he has done was and mentioned how the Prophet had passed between the two of them and had said to Ali: What did the son of your father's sister say?" the Division mentioned in the verse could also have something to do with the DVSN logo on the sides of the cop cars in the video. The cop cars seem to follow him on his journey as well as of to say the Division his evil created will always follow him.

This was indeed filmed in Detroit. It took a minute to find, but I found some of the locations. Starting at 1:31, this was filmed right near the corner of Grandy and Gratiot behind Xat Income Tax. Around 3:00 was filmed at a liquor store (unknown street details). 4:20 was shot on the corner of Gratiot and St. Auburn street then left onto division street. At 4:34, Travis almost hits the homeless person right near Louisiana Creole Gumbo. That’s all I have for now, it’s pretty cool seeing Cactus Jack reppin the D.
