You really lost a few hundred horsepower because you didn't pint your calipers red, shame on you Chris

He****:
I'm surprised you didn't paint the caliper!

Mi*********:

that suspension looked awesome after the cleaning. I would definatly buy a car from ChrisFix.

Th******:

you can also use c clamp when compressing the caliper

Me********:

I can't thank you enough @ChrisFix I've never attempted fixing anything on my car besides changing the windscreen wipers. But yesterday I changed my rear brake pads!! I was told a while ago they needed replacing, at a cost of $700 - $800. After watching this vid (many many times) I was determined to try it myself. I'll be honest, I was totally nervous but your pep talk directed to newbies at the start of this video became my mantra. All up the brake pads were $62 and after buying everything else I needed my total cost was about $130. I now have enough anti-seize to last me a life-time and the confidence to also do my front brakes too. Thanks again Chris, all the way from Australia :)

An***********:

You can use a c clamp and the only brake pad to push the piston back in instead of the specialized tool

Ma*********:
Just finished my first brake job and feel like I just conquered a dragon.

You’re an excellent teacher. Thank you for all the content!

Kr**********:

Chris, you are ridiculously helpful in your videos.
And your positive tone make you one the most pleasant car related channel to watch

fr*******:
I replaced my own by giving up halfway and buying a whole new car. I saved hundreds

ia********:

I remember watching this video when it first came out. 4 years later I finally decided to replace the brakes and rotors myself today. This video was great. I should have known to get a breaker bar that would have made it easier. I also didn't get to use any soapy wooder. Thanks for making these videos! Love your channel

Ha***********:

Chris: Hard to mess up.
Me: Hmm, challenge accepted

Bi*********:
I feel like an idiot after watching this video. I've been spending hundreds of dollars needlessly over the years. This guy is impressive and makes the job look very approachable.

Mr*****:
This is how YouTube is supposed to be used.

Da****:
Having been a technician for over 14 years, I never actually learn any skills from your videos. But they are so damn entertaining to watch, it is great :D You have the best editing skills I think I have ever seen on YouTube!

An**********:
Hey Chris when is a break flush needed/ recommended?

Aa***********:

So.... this is fantastic. One of the best youtube tutorials i've seen. Side note: i laughed out loud when you're like "I painted my whole suspension"

Br*********:

Hey Chris! I just wanted to let you know that the dealer quoted me ~ 1000-1100 to replace a seized calliper, so rotors pads and a new calliper. With your video I was able to do it myself for $315 and wanted to thank you :)

Br**:

I ran over the wheel chock at the end because nobody told me to remove it.

Go********:
Anytime I decide to work on my car I always look for your videos. They are precise and straight to the point and spot on. You have empowered me as a woman to do the jobs myself and have saved me a good sum of money. I do know how to use tools and am mechanically inclined and you just give me the extra boost and confidence I need to do it myself. Please NEVER stop making these videos..You are the BEST.

Da******:

Thanks to this video I felt confident I could do the job myself, only part I had any trouble with was getting all the tools, not being a mechanic I had just basic stuff. Thank you so much and I look forward to watching all your videos.

Ke***:
Hey Chris, when compressing then take piston I’ve seen in a few other videos you should remove the cap to the brake fluid reservoir to not create pressure. Would you say that’s true? Thanks you!

Wa*******:

im so tempted to do this on my day off

Ha***************:

THIS IS MY 2ND TIME WATCHING THIS TUTORIAL VIDEO & MAN YOU MAKE IT ALL SEEM SO SIMPLE & BASIC. THANX 4 THE KNOWLEDGE BROTHER. TOP MARKS

5M*********:

my brakes are fine but I'm still watching this

Bi*******:

"So i cleaned up the suspension a little bit"

I thought it was a new car

Ra*********:

Hey Chris, just wanted to let you know, today was the first day I really worked on my car, I replaced my oil, changed my filters, and replaced the front brake pads. I went to a garage where you can rent a stand by the hour, as I lack the handtools at home, and I was done in just under two hours. I watched this video several times, and thanks to this was not really surprised by anything I encountered. Keep the good, work up, I think I just got inpired to undertake more work on my car. Cheers dude! :D

Ma***********:

Hey Chris, I just replaced my front brake rotors and pads. Also needed to pull apart one of the calipers to restore the pistons and seals. Followed it up with a brake fluid bleed and change, and an oil and oil filter change. Thanks to your videos, none of this was a hassle, the only hard part was breaking those bolts holding on to brake calipers! The money I saved was more than enough to buy a beautiful set of tools and still come out in front. Better than the saving of money was the satisfaction that I could accomplish something most people would not dare to attempt. I even had a five year old helping out with handing me tools, pumping the brake pedal during the brake bleed, and learning how brakes work along the way. I can’t express enough how appreciative I am that you generously share your knowledge and confidence in your videos. Cheers!

Co***********:
@ChrisFix I want to say so much more, but after my dad passed away last year I lost my rock for everything automotive related. I knew basics, but having my dad to rely upon when I wanted to work on a vehicle just gave me so much peace. A few months ago I donated a kidney to a friend and have been out of work for awhile. Things started happening to my vehicles and I didn't want to lose money to a mechanic. I was still dealing with not being able to pick up the phone and call my dad for help, so I turned to your channel. I needed to fix a tie rod and my brakes. Your videos gave me so much help, and most importantly....peace of mind, to fix the problems on my own. I may not have my dad any more to call upon, but thank you for your videos because rest assured that I am not the only one missing their dad when help is needed and you have filled that void

Li**************:

There's a lot of ripoff channels on youtube that lie and give bad if not dangerous advice, this is NOT one of them. I retired from GM, I have worked on cars ,trucks and motorcycles since I was 10 and this is the best channel for auto repairs available. I retired in 2006 so I have to stay on top of anything new like the no-fill transmissions (which you have already covered in another video) if I want to continue doing my own repairs! Thank you for an awesome channel, keep up the good work! And for anyone that may be wondering if this channel is legit, everything Chris is doing is first class, top notch exactly as it should be done, YOU CAN TRUST THE ADVICE HE IS GIVING!
