you can do the same thing with a lot of gopros and a metal circle but it takes a lot of time to time together the shots near perfectly. devinsupertramp did a video on it

Love the video! My question is how did you build the platform so the object stays still while the camera base rotates? You explained everything else very well, but that seems like the "magic" piece that is missing.

Cool effects but it seems they have multiple cameras set up so they can switch to each one and add a pausing affect to whats going on.

Still cool though with what you did.

Did you get your high-speed camera yet? I have three currently, the Phantom 12.1 (x2, both color) and an Olympus i-Speed 3 color. I also have a couple 500 nanosecond flash units which can be used to obtain very fast duration high-resolution still photos by using DSLR cameras. I have four that I trigger together for potentially 360* view. Leave me a message.

I am planning on using this tip to make an intro for my new channel. But I am running into some issues. With everything mounted to the platform, the fan is very unbalanced. As it rotates, the entire rig shakes. What could I do to minimize that and how did he get it to be so smooth?

I think of creating the same effect using a DJI Inspire 2 ( A high quality footage drone ) , just using the spotlight pro mode to circle around an object, in the clockwise and anticlockwise directions to create the effect
