It's as if you're filling up a balloon with 1 L of air, I don't think it expands by 1 L because the rubber is pushing back on the air, slightly condensing the air inside it.
Same goes with your body, only difference is that your body uses muscles instead of rubber...

Don't make them shorter, the more examples you give the more I understand and the more "whoah, no way" moments I have!!!! I've watched the last live stream you make, the tenth or something, not sure. It's amazing how much better you got through this process at explaining and teaching. I really wish you were my physics teacher, especially in your last video about the 5 mile fall. You're amazing and I want to shadow a teacher like you in the classroom, you're amazing. You make me want to be back in high school again (I'm 20) because I love and miss those "Ahah" moments I used to have everyday. I've gotten that back with your videos!!! Thank you so much. This is amazing. Keep inspiring! You're doing great, keep be yourself!

I prefer understanding the principles before going out and applying those principles more thoroughly... That was actually my problem with my physics teacher: He went over equations and definitions, but he never went into the whys and the principles. This also applies to math... Almost none of my teachers growing up would expand beyond the curriculum. Two teachers who had the largest effect on my were my 6th grade teacher who would go over the basics and then expand and show us what the basics meant for more complex stuff, and my calc teacher who basically refreshed a lot of my understandings and taught me more complex principles. The specifics are important, but it's equally important to understand the whys of the specifics.
