I have just lost a competition, I worked soo hard, and, I lost. I tried to hide my pain from my friends. When I came home I cried alone in the bathroom, my father came in and tried to comfort me, and when I was on the stage and the other team won, the only thing I was thinking about was what Beyonce said in this video "Sometimes you lose, and you're never too big to lose, you're never too good to lose, it happens, and it happens when it needs to happen" She's a big inspiration to me.

I love how she is so honest about her womanhood being a walking contradiction. She takes the good with the bad. And calls herself on her own shit. That takes humility! That's how she's stayed humble. I love the messages and themes she put into this body of work... But even trying to let go of the perfectionism- that's also what's made her so great because she doesn't settle- for Flawless she wouldn't accept the first string of dancers/choreography and had her team search for four months! To find the Mozambique dancers who had the moves she was inspired by and wanted to share with the world... That was definitely some perfectionism at work on the one hand but on the other- she had to have them because those dancers to her were the most raw & free, something that comes from letting go of the perfectionism.... I just love her- as someone who has struggled with strong natural perfectionistic tendencies, it's beautiful to see her do as she does and shine the light on how to unlimit yourself

This is EXACTLY the kind of remedy I need! I respect Beyonce as a person so much more now! I am an aspiring Model and I have been working my ass off to try and get booked with an agency, it sucks & it's hard! Believe me! A few years ago I was not fit enough, now am too skinny, sometimes they say that you are not what the agency is looking for & all of those things make you feel so worthless & like it's time to give up! Family & friends keep saying, 'Oh you should really become a model...' if they only knew how tough it was to become one! I know this is gonna be boring for some of you but I just taught I'd put this on here so If anybody out there is going through the same thing knows that they are not alone! I'm gonna keep at it cuz like B said 'It happens when it needs to happen', Thank You, if anyone reads this! You're awesome for hearing what I have to say! ;)
