You should do an update on how this has held up.

Ma**************:
Here in South Africa we don't have alligator clips, only crocodile clips.

Ma*******:
Wow man, What a great video! Is the etching still holding up?

Cu*******:
I'm always happy to see a video from you :D I love your vids man!

Se*****:

You know how girls like to go shopping when they are bored I have a feeling when Chris is bored he goes shopping for tools

Be***:
Now I can make all my cheap shit tools into Snap-On tools.

dj******:
Is that blinker fluid conventional or synthetic?

Jo********:
Could always ink the existing socket numbers.

Ke**:
If you etch those other socket 10mm they will all disappear even thought they are not actually 10mm

Jo*********:

Hey ChrisFix! Yesterday, May 10th was Mother’s Day in Mexico. Since my whole family is Mexican i decided to make my mom this as a gift for her. My Mother likes to fix cars and motors. So i decided to create this awesome tool set for her with her name and her date of birth. I gave it to her as a gift to Mother’s Day. She loved it!! Thanks ChrisFix!

Ho************:
hey Chris I couldn't find soapy wooder in the description :)

Bl*******:

Hehe time to etch my accord engine with some good ol' "limited edition 50th honda anniversary" letters.

Ot***********:
Talk about an enthusiastic presentation. I etched my kids names on the stainless steel refrigerator. My wife hates it since I did it "freehand", the kids love it.

Re************:

Wow at almost 7.5 mil subs he is out here spending 4 hours a day repliying to comments. You are great

Em**:

Those 10-dollar sockets are now 18 dollars.

Ro****:

I turned all my harbor fraught into snap off.

Lu**********:
Use baking soda or washing soda (both are also salts) instead of table salt (NaCl)!!!!! Table salt in this application creates chlorine gas, which is super toxic. Baking soda only gives out CO2.

07*******:

DUDE HE FORGOT THE SOAPY WOODER

Da*******:

hey man how did you custom make your chris fix stencil? sorry if somebody already asked i couldnt find that question.

He****:

I haven't been able to find the "soap wooder" anywhere

Jo********:

Da*****:

At this point I think it’s just hands talking and not Chris. Because we barely see him LOL

Ni**:
This is so cool. This weekend, I'm going to etch "Chris Fix" into every tool in my garage!

Ha********:
I was at a junk yard pulling parts and two different dudes tried to steal my toolbox. I barely caught them both times and they just laughed like they steal tools all the time. Watch your tools. I think some creeps pay the $1 admission fee at junkyards to hopefully sneak out with $100 in tools.

To******:
Nice. Didn’t think etching was so easy. My wife isn’t going to like you. I’m going to start etching everything

Co*********:
Thanks I etched my High point with “Glock 40”

S*:

Im going to make a steel ring then etch it with this technique its gonna be great im so excited

To**********:

this is awesome, I didnt have a hammer. So I etched "hammer" onto a pair of plier and Bam...now I have a hammer. I always wanted a dog but my gf has a cat so....i think this is going to work guys...ill post the results soon!

El******:

i like that you actually use blinker fluid chris now i know i can trust your videos

Lo*****:
Well I gave this a try and it worked great.

I ended up using a 12 volt 1 amp motor cycle battery charger with some vinegar and rock salt mixed (rock salt had a hard time diluting) then I cleaned my sockets off and used cold gun blueing to darken the lettering. The etching process had no problem cutting through the chrome plating.

Thanks for the vid.

Sm***********:

Ri*************:

bu**************:
"All you need is a 12-volt DC power source, like this 9-volt battery..." lol

Ro***************:

Ha*****:

Thats a lot of blinker fluid Chris. Are you planning on buying a BMW?
