Very informative

Sk*******:

I've blocked my EGR off. It's complete junk. After a month of normal driving carbon buildup starts occur and you need to rev it like crazy to get it out. Only saves very small portion of fuel and causes more problems.

jo************:

What is the name of the app on your phone

Wa***:
this video saved me 119.95 Thanks

Sa*********:

So If I remove the EGR Valve, and it holds a vacuum, I should just clean out the carbon and use the same valve? If it doesn't hold a vacuum, then I should get a new one? Will cleaning it help it keep a vacuum? The mechanic said I needed a new EGR valve according to the computer, so I'm gonna try to clean/fix it myself. I'd rather clean it bc a new one is about $150!

Pi*****:
I fixed mine by taking it off and having it tuned out of the car LOL.

qw******************:

EGR's kill engines, get rid of them.

Ja********:
An EGR really makes a diesel run worse

Ba****:
Fanks bro! I've been enlightened once more.

Ka*************:

For a '96 that corvette is cleaaaaaaan

Nu*********:

Thankfully variable valve timing has made EGR valves a thing of the past. Good riddance to bad rubbish

La*******:

You really put a lot of effort into these videos and it shows. Good job, man. I'm sure you've helped many people save time, money, and frustration.

Sn********:
Oh yeah, I'm going back in time. Love your channel, been a long time fan! . Just bought a ranger 3.0 for a beater with a heater. When I look up vids, yours always pops up!!!

SG***:
I had my EGR coded out in my BMW 335D.

The performance increase is negligible but it's one less point of failure due to carbon build up!

(Also glad to see I'm not the only person that cleans their engine bay! :D)

Th*******:

When are you getting the crown vic back?

Au***********:
My golf is running without it . Great video

EGR is the devil on modern cars. I hate it

po********:

You're evolving in your editing style and side notes for how to mitigate possible issues different from your own. Your're doing a great job Chris, thanks. Educational and interesting even though I don't have that exact problem yet. Keep it up buddy.

Pi*****:

By runs "better" I'm assuming you mean better for emissions, not performance?

Je*******:

Dude, your videos are sooo informative and well done! I'm having some issues with my car right now and I've never known much about cars. Your changing that for me with these videos. Thanks! #NewFan   #NewSubscriber   #KeepItUp

I think this is my problem, but not sure. I tagged you in my post on FB...if you dont mind putting in your 2 cents..

2002 SATURN SC2 UPDATE: yes it was the nasty gummed up, sticky pindle on the EGR Valve. Cleaned up nicely, running like a champ. its the original EGR, the car has over 220k on it, but it cleaned up so nicely, i put it back on. Heres to another 100k!

Wo****************:

Hi Chris, it's 12-18-2019 right now, do you still have the C4 ?

Hey +Chrisfix , when I brake going above 70+ mph my steering wheel will shake bad but not violently. I have a 2004 Honda accord. Any idea what it could be? Thank you and I love the videos!

Who dislikes these videos must be corrupt mechanics

RC***************:

geesh, people giving thumbs down were just GM haters, dont need no negatively here anyways. they can go away. Truth is they learned something, just dont want to admit it.I always had to replace the vacuum line because the fitting and hose was always rotten from engine heat. seems like every older car I ever bought needed a new one too. didnt matter what brand car. they are mechanical and do wear out. you would think by now they would have invented something that didnt operate on a bellows, vacuum system. Thats so old school. I like your Vett myself. I was a Mustang guy. Problem is they suck driving in Northern MI weather. If I were to buy one now, it wouldnt see a snow flake. I love the old school cars better than the new shit they put out. At least back then there were less things to go wrong. I own a Subaru again, love those boxer engines. Reminds me of the old Volkswagens. I told the wife,if I stripped off the electronics,it would be the same engine our first Subaru had, less the electronic stuff. The basic design is still the same.

Mo***************:
An automatic Corvette LOL I'm sure that's a crime in a few states.
