“If there was an Oppression Olympics, I would win the gold medal,” she quipped. “I’m Palestinian, Muslim, I’m female, I’m disabled, and I live in New Jersey.”

This individual and the people that find her significant or interesting defy description. When you think you've seen it all then something like this shows up. Wow!

Ge**********:
Can we just take a few moments to appreciate how great her parents are? They seemed to treat her the exact same as any other child. I would have wanted that.

Sh********:

ironical that she says that she's not inspirational; a naturally modest woman. :)
Thank u for this talk.
Loads of love and happiness to you Maysood. :) :D

Br*******:
I just loved this presentation, it was amazing and inspiring. I had a lot of fun in the beginning, the energy is fantastic. It was glorious how it brought up such relevant issues as the social context of minorities to which it is humorously but firmly inserted, a good opportunity to internalize these things and to look at the world more critically and empathetically with the problem of others. by the existence of the problem, but by the challenges that impose it. During the speech I remembered some TV series, such as master of none that brings the subject of minorities more directly and also with humor. The only flaw of this presentation is that it ends, but a moving ending, I cried, tears of inspiration and impogal to do much. thanks

Lu***********:
Oh I love your energy:) one of the greatest ted talk I've ever watched!! Great sense of humour!

An*******:
I regret that as a child I was so uncomfortable with my cerebral palsy that I let my shyness hold me back from taking dance or yoga.

Sa*******:

This girl is funny, confident and smart. I really like her! And on top of that, representing people with cp and an ethnic minority in the western culture in such a positive way - it makes me love her!

Va***********:

She is so beautiful and I am watching this on a Monday morning. She has given me the inspiration to start this week by putting behind all my excuses and getting where I want.

"Because if she can can, so you can can "

What a wonderful woman, I agree with the statement I just read here, “too bad YouTube doesn’t have a love button.”

In********:
you taught me one thing dear, you are the only one who can let down yourself or the only person who cultivate yourself as a perfect person no matter, what you got, no matter how you look, no matter what people think about you but you are the one who can make a better life for yourself by giving utmost love and time to yourself, you taught me to wear a confidence nd believe me i have never seen someone with this much confidence on the stage....i love you so much ,you taught the value of life to get success in every situation....Proudly Muslim..Mashallah..May Allah bless you always

Sm********:

I'm 2.4 minutes in and if I was a man (attracted to women) or attracted to women, I'd marry this woman! She's intelligent, funny and beautiful as well! Thank you Maysoon Zayid, I'm going to try and channel you and your dad's "can can" attitude. Thank you for speaking out!

si********:

Maysoon, I went to grade school with many disabled children. I learned to feel for them. I am now 57, and I find you extremely beautiful. I understand your way of coping. I hope good and better things for you! have a good life!

Oh***********:
I'm a Physical Therapist AND a Palestinian and this put the biggest smile on my face. I am currently working with CP kids mostly and it's so challenging to say the least but every time we notice an improvement it's honestly the best feeling ever, I can't put it into words. To all those with CP, or any form of "disability", don't let society define your abilities... disability is a state of mind you CAN overcome it when you start to believe you can. Also, I've seen so many cases (especially in pediatrics) when the doctors said patient can't walk ever again, and with the grace of God and INTENSIVE Physio they were able to take their first steps. So hang in there, and don't ever lose hope. So proud of her and so proud to be a Physical Therapist. This is why I wanted to become one.

All the love xox

mo******:
This is the first time i see NOT A SINGLE NEGATIVE comment in the youtube!! wow, if only we people can be this beautiful online and offline, love this lady

An********:

She looks like Lea Michele to me. Nonetheless, she's beautiful!

Ma***********:

She is a liar: she told us that her story won’t inspire us and look at us completely inspired and amazed by this beautiful woman. My respect and admiration for you Maysoon!

Vi*************:

OMG Maysoon, you're amazing! Your enthusiasm and sense of humor made me so glad to watch all this video without feeling the time pass. That jokes was so much funny, I had loud laughs in my room!
The way that you tells your public the emotional moments of your life, even funny or sad, your routine as child, teenager and adult, all of that is so good!
Your story is so inspirational and make me feel more proud of who I am and to give more value to my own life, using true gratitude.
Thanks for your contribution to the world with this presentation. I think everyone should watch this one day!

Life is good! Thanks for spreading this message!
