After honestly getting tired of all the close up magicians coming to the judges table and telling a long story. As I have seen it from the very first one on AGT and all the variations since on AGT/BGT. This was so refreshing and the best magic act I have seen.

I feel like this could make a decent-good horrorish movie. Set in the late 19th or early 20th century, a struggling magician makes a deal with a deamon to obtain real magic in order to obtain the fame that he seeks. At first it all goes well, but as time goes on he realizes that he has less and less control of what happens in his shows as his magic begins to consume and control him, as well he's unable to stop himself from going on stage and performing. The shows take on a darker and darker ambience as the "illusions" become riskier and often wind up with him sustaining injuries from them. However this simply draws the crowds in even more as it excites the parts of us that are fascinated by such dark and disturbing things, and so long as the crowds show up he finds himself forced to perform.
