I feel a bit bad for her with this performance. Sure, Clarence was going through health issues at the time, but the keyboard also was out of sync and messed up her singing at one point. General effect was great, but the music wasn't executed properly.

For those that have nothing nice to say about Clarence's sax playing during this performance.

Quote from Bruce Springsteen's autobiography, Born to Run.

Shortly after this performance Bruce asked Clarence how he is doing, Clarence told Bruce "he had numbness in his hand that was inhibiting his sax playing and making his very nervous".

Clarence died weeks after this performance, making it his last performance.

I was 11 at the time and heartbroken when I found out that the Big Man had passed away.

R.I.P. Big Man .
