Just watched DC episodes 1-6 tonight (here in Singapore)- fantastic. This show has more plot twists and action than the original DC film.

Oddly enough, I'm most looking forward to seeing the original Skeksis Emperor in action. In the original he was feared by the other Skeksis. I'm hoping age of resistance will answer that question.

for everyone thinking about watching but being put off because of the puppets: Go give it a chance. This show is pure art. So faithful to the original movie, but way better in my opinion. It's expanding the story and universe masterfully. I literally forgot they were puppets at episode 2. Do yourself a favour and don't miss out

I watched the movie as a little girl and I forgot that this totally existed until I saw the previews on Netflix and all the memories came to my head instantly. wow!!

Thank you. Thank you for being bold and taking chances. Thank you for taking the long and hard rode to creating a masterful work of art. Thank you for simultaneously paying respects to the original while creating something so magnificent and uplifting. My heart physically aches from the joy and wonder I have felt watching this series and I can only say thank you again and again for making something so beautiful. Please never get rid of this or at least sell it in a format that it may be as cherished and as loved as the original. You all may never know how many people this will touch but I hope it helps that you got at least one, one person who this meant the world to. So thank you, thank you so much.

My husband and I are brazilian and we are simply enchanted by The Dark Crystal: the beauty of the settings, the story, the songs ... Everything made us travel and it was great to wake up for coffee and to watch a new episode before going to work everyday. Occasionally, we relieve the stress of the day by doing the voice of chamberlain, yeeessss? I also love the character of Deet – she is so captivating that I want one for myself! I understand that some people don't like the show because they don't have this playful personality, but for those who like art and fantasy it's a full plate. I’m glad there are people to do such a special job. I look forward to more new episodes. Please keep the puppets!

I'll be honest. I'm not a fantasy fan AT ALL. But one simply cannot ignore or dispute the level of visionary imagery, exquisite imagination and passionate artistry that was so clearly involved in making this 10 hour epic movie masterpiece... The puppetry, set design, characters, voice work, storyline, cinematography, etc... ALL first class and shows such detailed loving dedication to the original and the craft of filmmaking. I've already feasted on the first season twice and cannot wait for the second season! Best fantasy since the original LOTR trilogy!
