the way he used a game as a reference somehow got me interested more than i usually would on these ted talks and I don't even play mario

Ai**********:

shows that school shouldn't reward and punish those who not serious in studying. stop pressure them and instead let them learn comfortably at their own mental capability. they don't have to be a success if they can't, they just have to be able to get at where they can arrive to, coz pressure will only slows them down...

le*****:

As a software developer, I use this argument a lot.

Ho**:

Why are you playing this game?
-Because it feels awesome and I feel like I accomplished something when I finish

Why are you not studying?
-*Looks at grades*
-*Looks at the difference between what we're being taught and what we need to be capable of during the tests*
I'll do it tomorrow
-*Takes a 15 hour nap*

ja********:
"how to trick your brain to learn more"
My potato brain : hehe.. how cute

Ad************:

So basically what you're saying is, if we reward people for their success, instead of condemning them for their failures, we'd be more successful.
