This show had sooo much potential, yet characters are extremely boring and dislikable. Arthur and Nimue have no chemistry at all, the storytelling is bad.... I had high hopes when I saw the trailer :(

I just want a reboot of BBC Merlin. It that too much to ask?

Not impressed, just looks like an over the top excuse for a show, just put a lot of explosions here and some CGI there and make it dark and gritty with some cliche characters. Granted, I will admit I'm biased since the best Arthurian retelling is already on Netflix and it's called Merlin. That show may have had a smaller budget, but damn it made you care about the characters. It could be dark yet it wasn't afraid to have fun. It used CGI when needed but it didn't overuse it. And the characters sold it as well. Arthur at first is shown to be quite an ass and not what you would expect of the legendary king of Camelot, while Merlin is just a young inexperienced sorcerer, and Guinevere is just a servant girl and Morgana is actually a kind and caring person. Seeing their arcs over 5 seasons is extremely satisfying. And you know it was a good show when people in the comments still remember and are comparing Cursed to Merlin in terms of does it live up to the latter's quality. Truth be told, I don't think many people know much about Nimue and I don't think they want a show about her. People want to watch Arthur, Merlin and the Knights of the Roundtable and Nimue could easily be a supporting character with her own arc. After all, it's called the Arthurian Legend for a reason, it's Arthur's story, not Nimue's.
