I'm impressed. The vocals sound fantastic. Gaga has done a really great job gathering vocal inspiration from Ella Fitzgerald, including Ella's jazz vocal stylings and perfect pitch.. and then taking that inspiration and making it her own.

Voilà, c'est ça, une chanteuse de TALENT ! J'aimais déjà Cheek to Cheek, mais avec cette chanson de Noël, j'aime encore plus ! Le Jazz lui va tellement bien, on voit bien que le registre acoustique fait parti de ses "racines artistiques" dirai-je. I absolutely love this song! To be honest and to please everyone, Gaga should continue to release her pop/dance/rock music just like she did before, and then she could release a Xmas EP with Tony every year for Xmas. I'm not a huge Jazz fan but I LOVE it when it's christmas time!!

Heard this live on NBC at the Rockefeller tree lighting. Gaga has such a genuine voice, something most artists today lack. Plus she's working with perhaps one of the greatest artists of all time, Tony Bennett. Not all artists get to make an entire ALBUM with a legend. No doubt Gaga is a spectacular modern artist because she shows that you don't need to have techno and ass flaunting to show "talent", but dedication to what you're singing.

Here's what people don't get: You will not and you DO NOT have to love EVERYTHING the artist does.
And just because you don't like what the artist is doing does not mean they need to stop drop and roll their ass over to cater to your needs. And yes the artist is supposed to "entertain" but at some point the artist must be allowed freedom and at ANOTHER point the listeners (or as you call them today, "fans" ) need to grow up and drop this limiting attitude that the artist do everything for them and can only do certain things and that "Fame" is so important. Like seriously mature people can listen to music and find parts they like and dislike but that does not take away from the music WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. Moral of the story: Grow up and stop whining about superficial bullshit.

I think that Gaga is an original girl, and  her show, videos, the costumes and dresses that she wears is her thing. The problem here is that the industry saw that and the people around her (call it what you want producers, managers, whatever) and they where like 'look, this girl is different lets take it to another level" and they are exploiting that to a level where she is (I think) not comfortable with it anymore. You can tell by this new music she is making. She makes great music, and she is original, she likes to make interesting art with her videos and stuff. But I feel that she wants to be appreciated more for her talent, and for her music and not having everybody expecting her to do something crazy in her performance and to see whats her next step, and what crazy outfit she is going to wear next. Etc.
