All these statistics don’t include offshoring and overseas accounts that the rich also use to simply dodge their responsibilities to society altogether.

Here in Brazil the consumer taxes are monstrous. Some itens have tax percentage as big as 70%.

As a non-immigration worker, I’m identified as “resident alien” on tax purpose. It means I pay tax just like US citizens and permanent residents, including social security tax and Medicare. Meanwhile I might not be able to get my green card so there will be no way I get any money from US government after retirement. Also I’m not allowed to apply for any benefit from the government such as unemployment and food stamp
