Crazy to think in 2011 he remixed “born this way” and in 2020 he worked with her.

I always though the word "bop" was a silly word to describe a song, but I can't think of a better word for this song. It's such a bop lol.

Honestly this album has to be in her Top 3 albums of all time. From start to finish , this album is a masterpiece. this album takes me somewhere else and I enjoy every single song. this album was worth the wait !!

I think this song might be a playful shade towards us, the fans.

Gaga is singing about how she doesn’t like how her fans always try to control her and determine what music she should and shouldn’t make, what she should be wearing etc. She feels like she’s being made to do certain things to please the viewer (fans), much like a doll would being played with. It hurts her not only because she feels trapped but also because she loves her fans at the same time and doesn’t want to disappoint them.

“I’ve spent too long, dancing all alone, dancing to the same song” further confirms this. She’s tired of performing the same old songs; Just Dance, Bad Romance to name a few. She wants to branch out and try new sounds but the fans have been against it, just look at Joanne.

“Open me up and cut me loose, I come with a purse and new shoes” - much like a pop star first arriving on the scene, she’s shiny and new and everyone wants to know her what she’s about. “I’ve got blonde hair and cherry lips” - everyone loves a blonde, fashionable pop icon like Britney, Madonna and the rest.

I also think some of the lyrics could be a shady dig at the gay fans. She sings about a “real boy” and “if you are...” one. This could be a play on how gays are usually effeminate and we mostly go through a gender identity crisis in our lives at some point, usually early on. I know when I was younger I used to prefer picking dolls up than to play football which points back to the song title. Obviously I can’t speak for everyone. This is just my interpretation mostly, please don’t think Gaga hates the gays, she loves us and we love her!
