This time, I will review the popular YouTube videos.

These days, even if it's good to watch on YouTube, sometimes people skip it or don't watch it if it's too long.

When you watch Youtube, do you scroll and read the comments first?

To save your busy time, why don't you check out the fun contents, summary, and empathy comments of popular YouTube videos first and watch YouTube?

1. The effect by which a person appears lightest in the morning is also impacted by ambient temperature.  It's usually colder in the morning than at night.  Thus the scale is colder as well.  Cold temp will make the spring in a scales stiffer, and thus will record a lower apparent weight.  (This obviously doesn't impact balance scales, but most home scales utilize a spring).  A high end, non-balance scale (i.e. the one in the picture) may make use of materials to specific minimize this effect, but in cheap, common home scales, this is a significant problem with accuracy.
2. Some of the mass lost at night is actually converted into energy like some of the people in the video speculated.  So they weren't completely wrong.  They just failed to appreciate that this effect is extremely small (i.e. small enough to be unmeasurable) compared to the effect of exhaling CO2.

rs**************:
Well, we DO convert mass to energy, a VERY VERY TINY amount of mass results in the kcalories we burn. But the vast majority of mass loss, of course, is respiration and perspiration. Remember, E=mc^2 applies to chemical reactions as well, when the bonding energy is released. Remember, a kcalorie is 4186.8 Joules, and dividing by c^2 (3 x 10^8)^2, that means it is released from 0.00000000000004652 kg or 0.00000000004652 gm or 4.652 x 10^-11 gm. So if you burn 500 kcalories in the night, you have converted 2.326 x 10^-9 gms to pure energy!! You're sort of like a STAR!!

3:30 this woman is actually a fusion reactor, and is capable of converting matter into energy. given the average adult meal, she has the energy of a supernova in her at all times.

Go*********:
"I think it evaporates" 3:01 she's probably using Einstein's mass energy equivalence principle..

I find it funny that the Lady at 3:05 basically gives the right answer, but her friends laugh at her because they think it's ridiculous.

Jo**********:

Ge*:

6:50.... Not only is he heaviest at night he is also highest

Ch***:
3:27 when a person didn't learn physics and chemistry and went straight into weight loss theories and nutritions

Ry*****:

3:30 The only person to have ever given a science-y answer in all his videos

Jo****:

2:02 did you actually go to Rottnest island to interview people? :D

pr*******:
0:03-0:41 ...it was me .. i really can't let others speak garbage.. i have to revolt..

You are the type of person that has the balls to interview a group of grannies in their breakfast, people swimming and ask the hotel staff if you can use their scale...

Se***:
"Go to the bathroom". Can we just say poop, people? POOP! Everybody poops. (Girls, may in fact, produce glitter. Research has to be conducted.)

Ad*******:
Derek had a poop of 1.7535 Courics.

Jo***:

That happens to me a lot, people say I like arguing when I just need some hard evidence to believe something

De*************:

I found it so funny when those women were like "the matter is converted into energy". Yes because obviously the mass just transforms into movement

re**********:

i dont get why cant people just say they dont know anything about this topic, alot of people just make things up:/

li*******:
"the force of gravity also weigh a person down" give that guy a medal

An**********:

I think it also has to do with temperature and the springs in people's bathroom scales.  I find that my scale shows 3 pounds less in the morning (accounting for toilet usage), and I think it might be that the scale is not warmed up.  It uses springs that have been sitting in a cold room all night.  I wonder if the change in elasticity can account for 1-2% variation (~3 lbs.)

Jo**********:
"that's a lot of mass." is a scientists way of saying "dude, I just took a huge dump!" lol

Te**************:

sad music
"The force of gravity can also weight a person down"

I died :´D

Dude get some sleep your eyes look like tomatoes

Ry********:

How long do you sleep at night? Your eyes look tired man.

See,I like this guy because he searches for answers. He wants to know the thruth based on logical stuff, not on people's opinions and beliefs. No,I'm not talking about religious stuff,I mean about things like this one: "Are you lightest in the morning?"

Co********:
Bro this is light work I’ve literally lost 7 pounds one night

Ut*:

0:19 sweat, evaporation, outgassing, shedding skin cells.

I'm not saying that this is correct, but that it's a possibility

Ba*****:
woooah, you have a twin brother?? thats so weird.

rh****:

I guess that in the end they were so annoyed they brought the scale outside..

Ja*******:

1.5 kg rubs his chin 1.5 kg, that is a lot of mass...

I can't stop laughing

Po***********:
"The force of gravity also can weigh a person down" Priceless.

se********:
4:42 Hotel lady is cracking tf up!!

Ry**:

Those poor people were just trying to eat a nice lunch with their friends & a science crazy bimbo (I still love your videos) asks them a question about weight. Suddenly they realize they are not hungry anymore

Ze********:

So before i got spoiled from the Video, here is my guess with explanation:
You are the heaviest after your lunch. This makes sense because the lunch is probably the greatest meal in your day.
After your morning pee, you are the lightes during the day. During the night you sweat a lot and you dont drink during the night.

EDIT:
Well i was right but i forgot the carbon. I know that you cant destroy matter or energy. I mean somehow the waste must leave your body. Poop and pee is the main way but not a lot of people think about the rest. You lose hair, your skin and microorganism that leave your body. This is not much but still its something.

Ch********:
Ok, so this I already knew. There's an Australian physicist who made a YouTube video showing all this.
But what is failed to be explained is WHY we loose this mass when asleep.
So, I went further to find out why, because my weight different was usually about 5lbs.
And this is what I found over a year of testing myself.
I loose that weight when I'm sleeping only during the hours of 2am-3.30am
I won't loose weight it I take an afternoon nap or siesta during the day, tho later that night I will.
If I stay up after 3am (partying) I won't loose that weight, which then stays with me, not good.
And I have to be asleep for an hour before 2am for this to work.
No here's the unusual part.
I recently went on a 2 week fast.
After the 1st day I weighed in 5lbs lighter than the night before. I didn't eat that day, but I somehow gained 3lbs during the day.
I weigh myself before exercise and after too without significant change.
It's at night that I'll loose the weight when I sleep.

We still don't know how our bodies work it seems.

Bl***************:
Pausing at 3:05 because I think I know the answer. I recall the tree video saying that trees gained mass due to taking in CO2 and giving off O2. I believe the process is reversed here. We literally breathe it out. CO2 is heavier than O2 because of the extra carbon atom attached. Our mass increases during the day because we take in nutrients, gaining mass through ingestion faster than we lose it through respiration. Over night, we are not ingesting anything, and we literally breathe our own weight away.
